Snapdragon Face Painting was established, and is currently run, by a practicing freelance artist who formally trained at several of London's most prestigious arts institutions. This means that to satisfy our creative vision, only the most fantastic painters in Greater London are chosen to represent Snapdragon Face Painting at your event. For most kids, the very experience of having their face painted is a really exciting one, and it is tempting to think that children don't notice the level of artistic skill in a face painter. However, at every event we are booked to face paint at, it's constantly proven that children very often have the keenest eye for a great design and they tend to know, even more so these days, when someone isn't quite as good at it as they should be! It's official, they really DO enjoy having their face painted by the best artists!
Being good at face painting is one thing but what makes us so different is that every design is created with as much originality and individuality as the face it will be painted onto. With our face painters at your event, your guests are not limited to choosing tigers, butterflies or superheroes, old favourites though they may be. Some of the most unusual requests have included the planet Saturn, a very long list of specific intergalactic villains, swamp creatures, even a watering can!
When there is a long queue of children waiting patiently for their turn to be face painted, there is no time to deliberate or plan out a new design. Only somebody with a special ability to work decisively, imaginatively and with confidence can deliver a brilliant piece of work whilst efficiently completing each design within the short period of time allocated to each face. Our skilled face painters maintain a safe practice and a sensitivity to the individual, whether it's a four year old who's sitting down for the very first time to have their face painted or an adult being made-up for a fancy dress party to look just like Cleopatra.
